Tropical Scroll is a special weather scroll designed
for tropical weather. If there is a Tropical Depression, Tropical Storm, or
Hurricane watches or warnings this scroll will show which areas have the
greatest concern.
Here is a color code system to help you define what is
what.
Red= Hurricane
Orange= Tropical Storm
Yellow= Tropical Depression
Teal= Special Statements
White= Others

2003 Outlook
What categorizes a storm to become a Major Hurricane?
Well a Major Hurricane is that of Category 3 intensity or higher on the
Saffir-Simpson Scale. That is Winds of at least 111 MPH or greater.
